Over 2,300 attend the first Plastics Recycling Show Asia in Singapore
The first edition of the Plastics Recycling Show Asia (PRS Asia) recently held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore proved a runaway success attracting more than 2,300 attendees from across the region and beyond. Guest of Honour Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Sustainability & the Environment in the Singapore Government’s cut the event’s opening ribbon and delivered the opening address to the event’s packed conference theatre before touring the exhibition floor.
“I am excited to witness the innovations and initiatives that will emerge from this event,” said Dr Amy Khor. “We can set higher standards, inspire industries, and make a lasting impact, not only on the waste and recycling sector here in Singapore, but across Asia and beyond.”
The Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS) and Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the show formalising their collaboration designed to increase plastic recycling and reduce the overall consumption of packaging.
